About Me

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."

Nursing is a career/passion that has been close to my heart for a long time. To be with a person in some of their most vulnerable moments is a rewarding and humbling experience. Upon graduation, I plan to work for a year or two before going back to school to become a nurse practitioner. I am not quite set on a specialty yet, but I have an interest in neonatal & women's health, anesthesia, and psychiatric nursing.

I decided to go on the Grenada study abroad trip because of its emphasis on service-learning and because of the importance of global heath. Service-learning truly is an invaluable experience that rewards you with practical knowledge and cultural competency. A global perspective on health magnifies the importance of closing gaps and improving health for everyone. I hope to further close that gap in my nursing carer.
